May Scott was the matriarch of the Scott family and the mother of Dan and Keith Scott. She was also the grandmother of Nathan, Lucas and Lily and great-grandmother of Jamie, Sawyer and Lydia.

Season 1[]
Dan's mother visited with her husband for Dan's birthday, Royal. She does not like it when her family discussed sports at the dinner table. Though, this does not stop her husband from asking and eventually causing a dinner uproar when Dan's treatment of Nathan comes to light in regards to sports. May gets highly upset with her son after hearing her grandson went as far as to resort to drugs, and then ends up exposing a secret about Dan that the family gets upset at him about. He, in turn, gets upset with his mom, however, she tries to warn him to fix things with Nathan before it's too late.
