Pete Wentz was a member of the band Fall Out Boy who performed twice at Tric, including a performance at Peyton's breast cancer benefit concert. After bonding with Peyton he joined the group during a weekend getaway to Rachel's cabin in the woods.

Season 3[]
Peyton meets Pete when his band, Fall Out Boy, performs at Tric. He flirts with her, causing Brooke to ask her what was up with the two. Later on it was mentioned Fall Out Boy will add a track to the album Peyton produced, Friends With Benefit, to raise awareness and money for breast cancer.
After Peyton was shot in the school shooting, Pete comes to visit her at home. When the group goes away from the weekend to Rachel's cabin in the woods, Peyton tells them Pete was going to meet them there but nobody believes her until he shows up one morning making breakfast for everyone.
The two have a relationship for a few episodes and Pete sends her a plane ticket to come see him but she uses it to go see her ex, Jake, instead and the relationship ends.
He appears in three episodes (An Attempt to Tip the Scales, Just Watch the Fireworks, and When It Isn't Like It Should Be) but, he is mentioned in several other episodes but is not seen in Who Will Survive, and What Will Be Left of Them (where he is in a limo waiting for Peyton) and in I Slept with Someone in Fall Out Boy and All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me.
