Tree Hill High School Shooting

The Tree Hill High School Shooting is one of the saddest and most meaningful episodes of the entire series. Taking place as the 16th episode of Season 3 (With Tired Eyes, Tired Minds, Tired Souls, We Slept) the episode changed the course of life for all of Tree Hill, resulting in the deaths of Jimmy Edwards and Keith Scott.

Troubled teen Jimmy Edwards brings a gun to Tree Hill High after Rachel Gatina releases the time capsule. He shoots the gun in a crowded hallway, breaking a glass window and unknowingly hitting Peyton Sawyer in the leg. No one knows who the shooter is, and all the students are ordered on lockdown. Jimmy finds himself in the tutoring center with Haley James, Nathan Scott, Mouth McFadden, Rachel Gatina, Skills Taylor, Marcus, and Abby. He eventually reveals himself to be the shooter and holds them all at gunpoint, though they all try to talk him out of it.
